The Borjan Children's Fund is a nonpartisan, independently run organization dedicated to improving the lives of underprivileged children in rural regions of the Republic of the Philippines. Launched in Snowmass Village, Colorado, in 2012, it is staffed by its founder/director and a small cadre of volunteers united by the desire to help Philippine children living in conditions of extreme poverty. The fund now focuses on elementary and junior-high-school age children in the coastal village of Bioborjan, located on the northern tip of the island of Mindanao in the southern Philippines. We work to provide them with that which many American kids take for granted: pediatric and dental care, and education.
We are passionate about making a difference in the lives of these promising children, helping them to move beyond the goal of daily survival to a point where they can fulfill their potential and pursue their dreams. We believe that access to nutrition, medical treatment, and high quality schools will enable these boys and girls to thrive and build better futures for themselves, ultimately invigorating their entire community.
We invite anyone interested to join our effort. Because we are a small, focused philanthropy, each and every donation has a powerful impact.
The Borjan Children's Fund is an approved public charity under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Thank you for visiting this site.
"The test of our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those who have much; it is whether we provide enough for those who have too little."
Franklin D. Roosevelt, Second Inaugural Address, 1937
